Our Team
Georgia Edwards
Georgia grew up in Concord, GA, in Pike County –– a very close community. She always knew after graduation that she wanted to help people like her father did as the local banker in the small town but wasn’t sure what line of business to pursue. Insurance was so exciting to her, but she told her friend she was tired of attending school and passed on his offer to sponsor her.
Upon graduation from college, she worked for the family business for a few years, later married and had a handsome son, claiming her greatest accomplishment!
For 20 plus years, she worked at a plastics manufacturing plant as Office Manager/HR doing several accounting functions (her major), transportation, payroll, helping the employees with their benefits, and some sales. It was a great place to work and she enjoyed the diversity of the position. When her boss sold the parent company, she began to think about what may happen if she sold this plant too, leading her back to insurance and getting a license to sell property & casualty.
Although she enjoys all insurance sales, commercial lines is her passion as she was involved in transportation for many years brokering freight for the manufacturing plant. Georgia is also licensed in personal lines as well as life and health in three states.
